LIVINGSTONE SHIRE COUNCIL

Livingstone Shire Council residents are now able to enter into a monthly draw to win $100. The purpose of the Sustainable Nappy & Sanitary Products Rebate Scheme is to encourage more residents to make the change from disposable nappies/products, leading to a more sustainable community and growth towards a circular economy. Additionally, it will assist with generating discussion about the many benefits of using modern reusable nappy products or services and to acknowledge the efforts of choosing to reuse.

Each household in the City of Casey is eligible for one rebate per category. Separate applications are required for each.

  • Cloth nappies  50% of the purchase price with a maximum refund of $100. For example, spend $300 and receive a rebate of $100 or if $400 is spent the maximum returned is still $100.
    This includes cloth and swim nappies, reusable inner liner for nappies, reusable wipes, wet bags, reusable nursing breast pads.

  • Reusable sanitary products   50% of the purchase price with a maximum refund of $50.
    Includes sanitary pads, sanitary cups, leak-proof underwear and wet bags.

CITY OF BALLARAT

From 1 March 2022, Ballarat residents will be able to claim some of the cost of buying cloth nappies, reusable period products, and reusable maternity breast pads.  

The six-month trial aims to help with some of the costs of buying these sustainable items. 

Households can apply for: 

  • 50% of the purchase price, up to $100, for reusable cloth nappy products, 
  • 50% of the purchase price, up to $100, for reusable sanitary products, and 
  • 50% of the purchase price, up to $50, for reusable breast pads.

Liverpool City Council is conducting a 6 month trial* where residents can claim a rebate of up to $150 for the purchase of reusable nappies and sanitary products with proof of purchase. The trial aims to provide an incentive for residents to trial reusable options – helping to save you money and reduce waste to landfill.

Every household within Liverpool City Council is eligible for one rebate per category. Separate applications are required for each.

  • Cloth nappies  50% of the purchase price (max. $150 rebate) - Includes fitted cloth and swim nappies, reusable night nappies, all in two nappies, terry towelling/prefold nappies.

    Rebate trial for up-front cost

    Thanks to community budget submissions through Pitch Your Idea, Council offered a reusable nappy rebate trial from September 2021 to May 2022.

    Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of Hobsons Bay parents and carers, the 2021-22 budget for this program has been exhausted.

    Council is now evaluating the program and will soon confirm plans for 2022-23.

    CITY OF BAYSWATER

    City of Bayswater are offering a cloth nappy rebate to reduce waste and encourage sustainable change.

    City of Bayswater residents are able to apply for a 50% rebate of up to $100 for either the hire or purchase of modern cloth nappies. 

    The rebate is supported by the WA Government and administered by the Waste Authority. 

    Workshops

    Residents need to attend a Cloth Nappy Workshop from January 2022 onwards, organised by the City of Bayswater before applying for the rebate. This ensures that all the information and support needed to successfully transition to using cloth nappies is provided. You must apply for the rebate through your respective local council.

    When attending a workshop facilitated by the City of Bayswater, please bring photo ID with your name and address as proof of residence.

    SHIRE OF AUGUSTA MARGARET RIVER

     

    The Shire will subsidise the cost of up to $100* towards the cost of cloth nappies for families and up to $50* towards the cost of reusable sanitary products. 

    Claim your subsidy in 3 easy steps:

    1. Purchase your cloth nappies and / or sanitary products and keep the receipts
    2. Complete a Cloth Nappy and Sanitary Product Subsidy Application Form and return it with your receipt

    We offer residents a number of rebates to encourage the reduction of waste and support a clean, green and sustainable community. Residents may apply for each of these rebates once.

    Residents can apply for a 50% rebate of up to $100 for the purchase or hire of modern cloth nappies.To be eligible for this one off rebate you must:

    • Be a City of Melville resident

    • Have attended an eligible Cloth Nappy Workshop (regardless of existing use or knowledge)

    • Purchase or hire cloth nappies within 6 months of attending a workshop

    • Apply for the cloth nappy rebate within 6 months of attending a workshop

    • Have not previously claimed the cloth nappy rebate

    CITY OF FREMANTLE

    To reduce the environmental impact of disposable nappies, the City of Fremantle is offering a rebate of 50%, up to $150 per household on the hire or purchase of modern cloth nappies.

    For example: Spend $90 and receive a $45 rebate, or spend $400 and receive $150.

    This rebate is available until 30 June 2023, with final applications accepted no later than close of business 16 June 2023.

    Cloth Nappy Rebate

    Residents who have attended a cloth nappy workshop, run by the City of Armadale, may be eligible to apply to Waste Services for a 50% rebate, up to $100.00, back if they hire or purchase cloth nappies.

    • Rebate of up to $50 on new cloth nappy purchases (including cloth baby wipes, nursing breast pads and wet bags) or a discounted nappy library service with the Nappy Guru. Note that workshop attendance is mandatory for this rebate to ensure residents have the best opportunity for success using cloth nappies.

    • Rebate of up to $50 on new reusable sanitary item purchases (including menstrual cups, reusable sanitary pads, reusable incontinence pads and period underwear).
